Empowering Through Training, Mentoring & Coaching

Hello, there, how are you?  I sure hope you are well. I am too,  and I am glad to have this opportunityt o write to you.

First, thank you for reading and responding to/commenting on the devotions/articles that I send to you. I am grateful, and you are welcome to go on…especially now that our website has taken on a totally revamped new amazing look:) www.amazing-girl.org

Two, as a bit of an explanation/clarification, Amazing Girl Ministry ministers to girls, e.g. by holding parties, mentoring, speaking, counseling and having email/web/online devotions. These activities are sometimes noted on the website, but some remain private because of the nature of the personal issues involved.  I especially enjoy writing snail mail and attaching bible glitters…it’s lovely to interact with girls.

Third, your input, suggestions and ideas are totally welcome. E.g. just yesterday, someone gave me an idea of how else to present these devotions, so as to reach others who may not be email savvy or have the time to check them out. Soon, you just might be seeing more of that.

Fourth, I appreciate that there are both gents and ladies who read and participate on this website, which is why I do not necessarily address each entry as “Dear Girl” I believe that both the ladies and the gentlemen are blessed, and that the gentlemen can and hopefully do pass on these things to the she’s in their lives.

And finally, this is a special entry especially because of my daughter. I was travelling a few days ago, and I heard this song on a local (Kenyan) station, and I must say I found it  just perfect, it brought some wetness to my eyes. I hope you enjoy it too. Here are the lyrics.

Blessings and prosperity to you,

Martina Mcbride – In My Daughter’s Eyes

In my daughter’s eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I want to be
In my daughter’s eyes

In my daughter’s eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I’m weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter’s eyes

And when she wraps her hand around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It’s hangin’ on when your heart
Is had enough
It’s givin’ more when you feel like givin’ up
I’ve seen the light
It’s in my daughter’s eyes

In my daughter’s eyes
I can see the future
A reflection of who I am
And what we’ll be
And though she’ll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I’m gone
I hope you’ll see
How happy she made me
For I’ll be there
In my daughter’s eyes
