A life of Simplicity

Here’s a wonderful sermon on Simplicity that I thought you would find inspiring.

Best  regards,

A few highlights

Why Simplicity? Questions to ponder

•Do you live under the tyranny or bondage of self, things and people?
•Often with  sadness and depression you cannot trace the cause?
•Have you become a driven person who never enjoys life?
•Will Rogers says that “Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things they don’t want, To impress people they do not like.”

Simplicity as a way of life

•Buy things for their usefulness rather than their status
•Reject anything that is producing an addiction in you
•The lifestyle of simplicity removes the clutter from your life and gives you the focus of what is genuinely crucial.
•A less complicated and much less difficult lifestyle provides you much more time and energy to devote to your close friends, your family members and, most importantly, God.

The Secret of Being Content: Phil. 4:4

•The person who is only free to enjoy plenty is bound by it
•The person who is only free to live in poverty is also bound by the same
•Both plenty and want are opportunities for us to grow in faith as we exercise our trust  and dependence on God
•God owns ; we manage. This is the freedom of simplicity
•Be content with such things as you have!
